Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization
dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of
patient care, research, and education.
The Research Animal Resource Center promotes the thoughtful and humane use of
animals in research and teaching toward the goal of continued advancement in the
field of human and animal health. It provides the highest quality of husbandry
and health care for animals used in research and teaching; serves as a resource
to investigative staff by providing professional services facilitating the
humane use of animals, while providing institutional and public assurance that
policies and regulations set forth by federal, state and local governments
regarding the conduct of animal research are upheld.
Manage with day-to-day operations of an animal facility. The scope of this
position includes operations management, staff management, quality assurance and
information management. Key responsibilities also include quality control and
assessment, inventory management oversight including but not limited to shipping
& receiving, equipment operations, animal enrichment programs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate`s degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 3 yrs. of
supervisory experience in an animal care facility and LAT certification
required.
LATG certification preferred. If not LATG certified, must attain certification
within 2 years of employment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills; proven experience
in operation of large animal resource facility, personnel management and records
management are all necessary qualities in this position.
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8AM to 4PM
